Our Studio
Snapshot Studio has been a fixture of the south Brooklyn community for decades. Since 2021 the studio has shared a space with the Julianna Mon Ange Hair Salon on the corner of Avenue S and East 37th Street, but you might remember us from our previous location on Flatlands Avenue.
While our studio offers a comfortable and professional setting for photoshoots, complete with numerous backgrounds, carpets, and props of your choice, Marine Park itself has become an extension of our studio, providing stunning natural outdoor backdrops for your timeless, beautiful images. Whether you envision a session in the park’s open fields, the nearby Salt Marsh, or a different location of your choice, we’re happy to bring your vision to life.
Since opening in 1988, Susan has been the owner and lead photographer of Snapshot Studio. Known for her warm and patient approach, Susan has a gift for capturing natural reactions from clients of all ages, effortlessly putting children, adults, and pets at ease. Over the years, Susan has become a pillar of the neighborhood, building lasting relationships with her clients. She cherishes the opportunity to watch families grow and one of her greatest joys is photographing the children of clients she once photographed as newborns, celebrating decades of milestones with families.
Susan has been in the photography business for over 40 years, starting at Kids R Us, before eventually opening her own studio. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Brooklyn College and completed a Post-Baccalaureate program in Photography at the Center for Media Arts.
